COMMENTARY: For those of you with ambitions of grandeur here is a video clip that encourages you to spread your wings and fly. ICE TT Director and cinematographer Mr Stefan Jones demonstrates his comfort behind the remote controls as much as behind a standard camera lens !! Having a drone allows you to see and share the wonders of T&T from a totally new perspective without having to spend a fortune on a helicopter ride or risking your life attempting to reach a unique vantage point.

If you’re interested in drone photography here’s a link to an article by Macphun writer Laurie Rubin that provides a few useful tips.

This is fantastic! I had never even heard of drone photography. Does he film outdoor weddings and special events as well?

A drone does allow you a unique perspective when you considers the different aerial shots one can take.
Caution to drone operators as one must consider the potential hazards associated to the environment you are using same.

Hey Jen … From my knowledge Stefan and his companies in T&T and Miami tend to shoot quality TV Commercials, Soaps and TV Series. They have done work for the popular American CSI TV Crime Series and shot ads for Ferrari. A Wedding could be considered a bit like a TV Production, but, I guess you may need to consider budgeting accordingly 🙂 A few high end weddings might already be using drones. If you have a serious interest in contracting his services I can put you in contact with Stefan.

A guy recently brought one into a regional cricket match but was barred…perhaps as a hazard to fans/players and maybe copyright infringements with broadcasters.
There is video on youtube with aerial footage of Maracas Beach…a must see!!

Wait until they start using “Lily”, the drone that follows you during your activity, Would be great for surfing shots if it’s possible.
